Why We Built This Site
Maryland publishes a great deal of warrant-related information, and the challenge is routing rather than scarcity. A warrant is not a single record in a single place. The judge or commissioner who signs an order sets the charge and the release conditions. The clerk of that court keeps the docket. The Sheriff's Office serves the order, enters it in its database, and closes it out. A bench warrant from a missed court date stays with the court that set the case, and a city citation may sit with a city office or move into District Court.
Maryland has no single public statewide warrant registry, so the state's case portal publishes a summary rather than a warrant list. That structure makes it easy to check one office, come up empty, and draw the wrong conclusion. This site sets out the offices and their request steps in plain order so a reader can move from a lead to a confirmed answer.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how a warrant lookup runs through the Sheriff's pages, Maryland Judiciary Case Search, and the court clerk
- Outstanding warrants: what an outstanding warrant means on a published list and why absence from the list settles nothing
- Missed court dates: how a bench warrant search starts with the court that set the missed appearance
- Charge-based warrants: how an arrest warrant search relates to the charging application and the court that issued it
- Traffic and city matters: how a traffic warrant or a municipal warrant question fits the Maryland court system
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to any Maryland court, sheriff's office, or government agency. Some limits follow from that:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether an order exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, clear, or remove a warrant from any system
- We cannot accept a payment, post bond, or take money toward a warrant
- We cannot schedule a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice about how an order applies to a particular case
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address here is current on the day you read it
Only the court that issued an order or the Sheriff's Office that holds it can confirm whether it is open or recalled. We can point you to the right office, and the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry search boxes operated by outside companies. Those companies set their own prices and run their own services, and a paid signup through one of those tools may pay this site a referral fee. That revenue keeps the reference pages free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is not an official warrant check.
